Commonly used in a variety of construction applications, this product has been milled from a slow grown, premium quality imported Redwood, originating from the Baltic states. Due to the cooler climate in which it’s grown, it has a tighter grain structure and is suitable for structural applications conforming to BS 5268 “C24” grading. This product has been “regularised”, giving a Planed All Round (PAR) finish to the faces and with beveled edges for ease of handling, and finished dimensions just below the nominal timber size. Vacuum treated with “Tanalith E” water-based preservative, the service life of the product is extended through long-term protection against wood decay and insect attack. In addition, this product has been kiln dried to reduce the moisture content to below 20% which helps to prevent the timber from warping.
