Used primarily for fixation of roof tiles and slates, this product has been milled from a slow grown, premium quality imported Redwood, originating from the Baltic states. Due to the cooler climate in which it’s grown, it has a tighter grain structure and is suitable for structural applications. This product is freshly sawn, giving a rough finish to the faces and sharp square edges. Vacuum treated with “Tanalith E” water-based preservative, the service life of the product is extended through long-term protection against wood decay and insect attack. In addition, this product has been kiln dried to reduce the moisture content to below 20% which helps to prevent the timber from warping.
