About
OSB, or 'Oriented Strand Board' is a highly versatile engineered timber panel. It is constructed by using layered timber strands of Spruce, Pine & Aspen bonded together in a cross-orientation with a waterproof resin. Its engineered construction method yields the same strength as plywood, and a natural resistance to moisture and warping. The tongue & groove join creates a seamless finish, perfect for both roofing and flooring applications. The trade term OSB3 comes from the technical class denoted in BS EN 300 for ‘load-bearing boards for use in humid conditions'.
