14.5x119mm 4.2m Primed MDF Skirting - Square Edge Profile

About

Our 14.5x119mm 4.2m Primed MDF Square Edge Skirting Board is an excellent choice for creating a clean, modern and professional finish where internal walls meet the floor. Manufactured from Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF), this skirting offers a smooth, consistent surface without the natural knots, grain variations or imperfections commonly found in traditional timber skirting. The Square Edge profile features straight edges and a simple, flat face, creating a sleek, minimalist appearance that complements a wide range of interior styles. Its understated design makes it particularly suitable for contemporary homes, new builds, apartments, offices, bedrooms, living rooms and hallways, while also pairing well with matching Square Edge architraves for a consistent finish throughout the property.

Measuring 14.5mm thick, 119mm high and 4200mm long, these MDF skirting boards are supplied pre-primed, providing a smooth base ready for finishing with your chosen interior paint. The 4.2m lengths help minimise joints along longer walls, creating a cleaner appearance and reducing installation time. MDF is also easy to cut, mitre and fix using suitable grab adhesives or mechanical fixings, making it a practical option for professional carpenters, joiners, builders, property developers and DIY projects. The simple Square Edge design provides a crisp, contemporary finish and is easy to wipe clean, with no decorative grooves or mouldings where dust can accumulate.

Designed for internal use only, this primed MDF skirting is ideal for new builds, home improvements, property refurbishments and replacing existing skirting boards. It provides a cost-effective, low-maintenance alternative to solid timber skirting, with a uniform finish that is easy to decorate. The 119mm height offers a well-balanced appearance, providing greater wall coverage than smaller skirting profiles without appearing overly decorative or imposing. This makes it particularly suitable for rooms with standard or slightly higher ceilings, while the slimmer 14.5mm thickness maintains a neat, understated finish. The additional height also helps conceal minor gaps, marks and imperfections along the base of internal walls, making it a practical choice when replacing existing skirting boards. Please note that this product may be supplied with a double-sided profile depending on availability.
