About
Our 2 Ex 25x150mm Green Treated Sawn Featheredge Cladding provides a traditional, practical and attractive external timber finish for sheds, workshops, garages, garden buildings, stables, barns and agricultural buildings. Manufactured from softwood, the boards feature a distinctive tapered profile and a rough-sawn surface, creating the rustic appearance associated with traditional timber weatherboarding.
Each board is produced by diagonally cutting a nominal 25x150mm timber section into two tapered featheredge boards, giving an approximate finished thickness of 15mm at the thick edge and 3mm at the thin edge. When installed horizontally, the boards overlap to help direct rainwater away from the building, providing effective weather protection when correctly fitted.
The timber is pressure treated with a green preservative to help protect against fungal decay and wood-boring insects, improving durability in suitable external applications. Its natural grain, knots and textured sawn finish provide an authentic timber appearance, while the green treatment will gradually weather when exposed to sunlight and the elements.
This smaller featheredge section is particularly suitable for garden buildings, sheds and other timber structures where a traditional overlapping cladding finish is required. Boards should be fixed to suitable timber battens or framework using corrosion-resistant fixings, with an appropriate overlap, ventilation and drainage arrangement to support long-term performance.
Actual finished dimensions, thickness taper, machining profiles and timber appearance may vary between manufacturers and suppliers. If you need to match existing timber cladding, please contact us before ordering to confirm compatibility.
