Our 25x244mm 3.66m Primed MDF Nosed & Tongued Windowboard is an excellent choice for creating a neat, durable and professional finish to internal window sills. Manufactured from Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF), this windowboard offers a smooth, consistent surface without the natural knots, grain variations or imperfections commonly found in traditional timber window boards. The Nosed & Tongued profile features a decorative rounded front edge, commonly referred to as a bullnose, which creates a smooth, attractive finish beneath the window. The rear tongue is designed to accommodate suitable window frame or reveal details, making it a practical choice for both modern and traditional properties. Its wider 244mm profile is particularly suitable for deeper window reveals, providing a substantial, well-proportioned internal window sill.

Measuring 25mm thick, 244mm wide and 3660mm long, these MDF windowboards are supplied pre-primed, providing a smooth base ready for finishing with your chosen interior paint. The 3.66m lengths allow the material to be cut to suit a variety of window openings, including wider windows, helping minimise unnecessary joints and material wastage. MDF is also easy to measure, cut and shape using suitable woodworking tools, while installation can be carried out using appropriate construction adhesives and mechanical fixings where required. The rounded nosing provides a decorative projecting edge, helping create a traditional window sill appearance while maintaining a clean, consistent finish.

Designed for dry internal use only, this primed MDF windowboard is ideal for new builds, home improvements, property refurbishments and replacing existing internal window sills. It provides a cost-effective alternative to solid timber windowboards, with a uniform surface that is easy to prepare, paint and maintain. The wider 244mm profile offers additional depth compared with narrower window boards, making it particularly useful for deeper window recesses, thicker internal walls and installations where a more prominent sill projection is required. The substantial 25mm thickness provides a solid, well-proportioned appearance, while the smooth surface creates an attractive decorative feature beneath the window. For long-term performance, all cut edges, exposed MDF surfaces and joints should be properly sealed and painted to help protect against moisture absorption, swelling and deterioration. This product is not intended for external use or areas subject to prolonged moisture exposure.
